We’ve motorized hand grinding, so why not do the same with slow feeding? We’ve been hooked on slow feeding since James Hoffman’s post on slow feeding with the Niche Grinder a few years ago (link). Since then Lance Hedrick and Baristle Hustle have noted improvements with slow feeder as well and have championed slow feeding for notable gains with any grinder. Cleaner brews with less fines? More sweetness? Yes, please!
Manually slow feeding gets old pretty quick though. So we got to work after many exploring many concepts and built the world’s first electric slow feeder with a rotating angled carousel. As we launch our next slow feeder design, we can’t wait for you to experience the benefits of slow feeding and for this to become the new standard in home brewing!
Less fines and heat, more clarity and aroma
Slow feeding has shown improvements in grind quality through a number of means including minimising fines that increase the risk of over-extraction and reducing the heat generated during the grinding process. (Lance Hedrick video link, Barista Hustle paper)
Baristas all over the world have tasted the difference. What’s been missing is a way to automate the process for better consistency.

Adjustable Feed Speed
Find your sweet spot with the adjustable feed dial on our slow feeder. If your grinder can keep up with higher feed rates, crank the dial up for a total feed time of 30s for a 20g dose.
Don’t mind waiting a few minutes for maximum flavour? Slow it right down and prep your setup while the slow feeder feeds away!
Battery operated for wire-free operation
The Madkat Slow Feeder works with two AA batteries so you don’t have to worry about wires.

Swappable Magnetic Bases
Have multiple grinders? No problem! Our slow feeder has swappable magnetic bases so you can use the same feeder on multiple grinders
