Step 1: In order to install your Speed Controller, you will need an assembled Skope motorizer, the bracket supplied with your speed controller, the speed controller and the two allen keys supplied (2.5mm and 3mm) with the Skope.
Step 2: Remove the red tape and loosen the M5 square nut off the bracket using the 3mm allen key. Remove the M5 button head screw and set aside.
Step 3: After making sure the M3 cap screw is loose. Slide the loosened bracket onto the speed controller unit as shown.
Step 4: Tighten the M3 screw using the 2.5mm allen key just enough to secure the speed controller in the bracket. Caution! Do not over-tighten!
Step 5: Press the bracket into the back of the motorizer column as shown. Make sure to set the bracket just below side panel screws as shown. Press the bracket in fully until flush against the column.
Step 6: Drop in the M5 square at an angle into the slot above the bracket with the rounded side of the square nut toward the aluminum column and the flat side facing outward.
Step 7: Insert the M5 button head screw into the counterbore hole and use the 3mm allen key to tighten until secure. The screw should thread into the square nut dropped in from the previous step.
Step 8: Plug the right angle DC plug from the speed controller into the motorizer.
Step 9: Tuck the cable into the side of the bracket as shown.
Step 10: Turn your Skope motorizer on and leave on by default so you can turn your motorizer on and off using the speed controller switch.
Step 11: Plug the DC plug from your power adapter into the bottom of your speed controller.
Step 12: Adjust your speed controller power setting by adjusting the dial on the speed controller. We recommend using power settings above 5 (use the LED as the marker).
Step 13: After adjusting your power setting, use the switch on the speed controller to turn your motorizer on and off.
